Chanting Question

Post by DLedoux »

Is it okay just to say a chant or prayer once when doing a cleansing or performing a spell to state your intent? I know that thoughts are energy when spoken, so I have heard.

XOXOXOXOXOXO

Yours Truly,

Technically yes.

Lets say that you're going to remember a phone number, some people might only need to say it once, some people on the other hand will have to chant it over and over again until they can write it down or dial the number.

Mtoumbá Àse!

Chanting is a very powerful way to conect with the divine and with spirits. All shamanic religions and traditions use chanting mora than reciting. ATR uses chants, amazonic shamans uses chants, hindu uses chants and mantras (a form of chanting). So, yes. You may chant to do magick, cleansing and to summon a spirit or deity.
