Hi all
I was just wondering if there were many other forum users who have been diagnosed with bipolar II disorder and take medication who have struggled to find their path?
I was diagnosed with bipolar II last year after a series of experiences, one namely being the experience of seeing a golden light and feeling filled up with that light whilst meditating. I also went through a phase where I thought I was Jesus (this was during my time in a psychiatric hospital). I have been on medication for over a year now and although I'm not having any irregularities, I can't help but feel a sense of emptiness still. I feel like I am still trying to find a spiritual path and get in touch with my higher self (which I believe the experience with the light was).
Am I alone in this venture or has anyone else had similar experiences? If so, do you have any advice for me?

Mental illness and magic is not a good idea.
But a lot of borderline patients have had good results with Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
