Side-Effects of Love Workings

Post by Archeus »

This post could apply equally in ceremonial magick, witchcraft and possibly other forms.

I am not making it to teach or make pronouncements, just to open up discussion for anyone with any thoughts.

A love operation can be made for example with the Black Pullet where a djinn is summoned. Or a goetic demon may be summoned to facilitate love between the magus and a specific person. What is really going on is a telepathic connection attempted between the magus and the object of love. If this is not the case then the love object is not a real person but a succubus, incubus, servitor or some such.

Since it is a telepathic operation, the beloved will receive it and respond on a magickal level, perhaps even if he or she does not know of it on a conscious level.

The purpose of a love working is to implant the idea in the receiver's consciousness so that he or she takes an interest. The response to an operation directed at another person can be immediate, although it make take some time to work out its meaning.

The magus may experience a physical feeling, whether the offer is rejected or accepted.

If the offer is being rejected, the magus may feel a negative side-effect: headache, physical pain, uneasy feeling. If the offer is accepted the magus may also feel something uncomfortable if he or she does not know that it is a response and so instinctively tries to reject it.

If the feeling is recognized as the response of the target, the magus can respond to it by sending/thinking messages appropriate to his/her intentions.
