Greetings

I 'dabbled' with a home made Ouija Board at the age of 15, with a range of results; I had a dark force knocking a child off a bike as proof ... to a dark shadow appearing and banging shut a window ... to an entity claiming to be a child killer making contact and threatening to kill me ... to a benevolent spirit at the time of Oliver Cromwell coming through with historical proof that only Manchester University library had on record (I couldn't have known about at 15 or read anywhere).

However it took me over 15 years to get rid of one of the influences which came through ... as at a naive age of 15 I didn't know about banishing spells etc.

It is best to think carefully before making contact through a ouija board. I've never used one since but know what a powerful tool they are through bitter self experience

Yes stuff like that happens. My Female cousin who is married used the Qiuja as a teenager. She always contacted the same person who named herself mama. It did not matter what quija she played or where she played or who she played with she came to the board always making remarks about killing her. Then my counsin linda had a daughter berlin. My counsin linda would not stop playing in her home. She noticed my niece berlin age 5 began to get violent, hitting her and bitting. She would use bad words and when she said them she always had a strange look and strange voice. She decided to get her an exorcism. My niece berlin as soon as she knew what was coming began to scream and beg not to go. They finally got there and began the exorsism right away. Berlin then got away and ran under the table when they started to throw the holy water on her. The table began to shake vilontly and things began to fly off the table and you could also hear her screaming shrill sounds from the holy water tounching her. She claimed it burned, stop it burns she said. Finally it was over and that's what it took to happen for my cousin linda never to play the quija again. I have experince in doing exorcisms for homes, but when It came to my home I was unable to. I was to frightened for my children and my self,to tired from restless nights and Knew mentally I could not handle it.

The only good thing I've ever gotten on the Ouija board was my spirit guide. Paimon came up once...I was 13 and didn't even know what it was. I thought it was some Russian name. Nothing bad really happened...I remember we lost the Bible one time, tore apart the room, then found it sitting on some cushion.

Yeah sometimes little things like that happen. The night I had left my house after it was blessed, the next day I had found my holy bible upside down in the hallway. It still freaks you out a bit.

If you are trying to call on somebody specific my advice would cast circle and call the spirit you wish to speak to into the circle and talk to them. Dittany of Crete (which is an herb) burned will help.

If I want to call my anut into circle. I'd have a picture of her and by thinking of her I'm thinking of a specific energy pattern in which baneful spirits can't get through. I use to do this a lot for my one cousin after my aunt died and she had a way of attracting baneful things trying to corrupt, or destroy her. She is pure light and positive energy very sweet. None of the nasties could bother her once circle was cast. I ended up teaching her how to cleanse and purify the area, weave protections around herself, ward her personal space, cast circle and banish banful things. Once these things were taught she didn't have as many troubles.

I used to have a Ouija board and played with it a bit. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not, but I noticed it depended on the frame of mind I was in.

There's a book called "Magick for Beginners" by someone I believe named Brennan(?). It's a Llewellen publication, but it's otherwise a REALLY good book. I like it. Anyway in one chapter he explained that there were once a group of people experimenting with the Ouija board. What they did was create among themselves a story. They made up a person and wrote out an entire fictional life and death. They meditated on this charachter and fixed their minds so that there was no question this person existed. As a result, the person they created contacted them through the board. After a while, the charachter started to develop on it's own, with new events and stories about it's life, and a more detailed personality.

I'll be rude and post without reading those of others': I've been shown that there is a "proper" way to use an Ouija board, be it some manufactured gameboard or some crayon scribblings on a piece of old cardboard. That being, that there are two "gates" represented by the sun and moon on the top corners for day/night, one of which must be "opened" by sliding the pointer (sorry, forgot the technobabble term ) first over the gate (day or night) you wish to open, then around to the two lower corners and back to the opposite gate... agh well I don't know if I remember anymore the entirety of how you're supposed to "close" them again, it involves gently sliding the pointer off the board, which may or may not be preceded by reversing the opening motion (damn my memory). Considering this final ambiguity, I'd thought about not posting the "instructions" at all, but then the idea of people having their Ouija board stuck "open" sort of tickles me hahaha. Although I perceive no danger in this and I don't think anything will (or can?) come through totally uninvited (like anything in dealing with spirits, careful of your mindset going into it). The technique might be a bunch of bull anyhow, but it works even if it's only by means of suggestion (the whole thing relies on symbolism anyhow, does it not?).

Oh well.[/QUOTE]lol yeah, from my experience you don't exactly find the "highest quality" in spirits, it's kind of like the unemployed ones living in trailer homes who have nothing better to do. I used to *ahem* eat some of them, that's useful enough for me. And I don't think the universe is any worse-off without those hehe.

[EDIT:] Now that I've read the rest of the thread, just going to add a little about the "protection" everybody keeps talking about here.. Somehow I think the desire to make protective circles etc. is a self-admittance of fear -- fear which is likely what attracts these problem-spirits in the first place (not to disclude the possibility of ignorance i.e. children who have no idea what they are doing, but I never had any harm from playing around with a board with friends as a child so I cannot speak for this). I've never used any sort of "protection" (sometimes I'm inclined to use the adjective "sissy" hehehe *ahem* sorry) while using an Ouija board. Actually I don't think I'd so indulge fear in any other calling of spirits either. I've not had any problems. In fact I've been bothered by spirits more often randomly than during use of an Ouija board. Though it is of course to be noted, that any serious uses of mine haven't been seeking communication with a particular spirit. In fact, my purpose was almost never communication at all, as I've referred to in the first part of this post. If you are afraid what you contact will be some maniac poltergeist, well 1. you just might get one and 2. then don't invite it over for dinner.

We love our Rez style spirit boardz, cuz they don't cost no dough man.
Grab a Mayo jar, preferably empty and not smelly; couple piecez of paper and pen....write out each a,b,c etc + yep and nope: cut em in squarez, or if in big hurry, rip em to seperate:
stick eachotherz pinky on jar with all them letterz in a big circle. Then watch that ole' jar

yo i had something very strange happen, k so i was usin the board and we talked to a person named teresa.... she said she was my mom spirit guardian.. she knew my name and that i had heard meows in my house but our cat died and no neighbors have cats no cats were outside.She said he was coming to visit sometimes to let us know hes ok. I have a little blanket on a chair in my room, and almost every knight it gets like ruffled up when no one ever sits there. I heard meows 3 times my mom and brother did too. Anyway the last thing she said was make preparations for an attack on washingtondc. When it said attack i started cursing the spirit out[yeah not smart i know] thinking it was threatening us. I went ballistic, after it spelled dc it was probably gonna list a date or something but we put it away. Ok that was a month or more ago and last night my mom said i woke up and told her "put the ouija board away" I NEVER said that, i was sleeping i never woke up at all. I remember my dreams they had nothing to do with ouija or paranormal stuff. Was i just sleepwalking or was someone possessing me? I had no plans of doing the ouija again and its in a closet. Man I hope its not sleepwalking though, probably will happen again if it is and i had a knife right near my bed i could have killed someone. Shit hope i wont fall down the stairs or something if it is.

Crimsonwolf - sounds to me more like simple sleepwalking. I used to do a lot of sleepwalking and talking when I was a kid. I guess I used to come downstairs and talk to my mom....walk around and say weird stuff. I always woke up and stuff in my room would be moved and the like. Of course I don't remember any of it and nothing I did had anything to do with my dreams and I grew out of it. Well at least I think I have lol.

I used to use ouija boards a lot and always made my own. Usually they were larger sheets of paper and a shot glass that we just used our pinkies on. We made one in a friends basement once on some cardboard from a freezer and a quart jar... it was so big we could all sit on it. But I stopped using boards when I found out that you can direct it without touching it nor talking to it. Actually what happened is that my friends would ask it a question...one that I would not know the correct answer to and I would write a word on a piece of paper and stare at the board and it would spell it. I pretty much lost all interest after that.
